A trip to visit relatives in Canada is on the horizon for a bus man who has retired from RATP Dev London after 45 years of working in public transport.
Dave Boyce became a bus driver in 1971, passing his driving test in an RT-type vehicle, predecessor of the famous Routemaster bus. For five years, Dave worked with the same West Indian conductress until her return to Grenada. During his career, Dave was promoted a number of times and undertook several managerial roles.
Dave thoroughly enjoyed his career in the bus industry and is now looking forward to the next stage in his life. As well as travelling, this will probably include charity work and maintaining friendships he has acquired through his years in the bus industry.
